Meeting Minutes for February 2001 Virtual Meeting

1. We have a DAMM swim meet coming up the weekend of February 23 - 24. Mark Westergard is having a TDA swim party at his house on February 24th at 7:00 pm. Snacks and drinks will be available. This party setting is to encourage TDA members to mix with some of the out-of-town swimmers, namely, the Houston swimmers. We want to encourage them to swim with us at the IGLA Championships.
2. I have copies of the registrations forms for Zonal Championships, March 31 - April 1 in Sugarland and IGLA Championships, July 6-8 in Toronto. They will be available at the next meeting. Remember to check the deadline for registrations.
3. I am concerned about the participation of TDA members. We are a swim team and our primary effort is on swimming. Several members have been working hard to put together the largest TDA team ever to participate in the IGLA Championships. But participation does not stop with these few actively involved members but we need the help of all of our members. Participation can be as simple as hosting a team meeting. No requirement to serve food or drink is necessary. Usually, several members bring their lunch and eat it during the meeting. I hope to see everyone at the next meeting on March 11, 2001

IGLA Toronto 2001 Task Force (Brad Levinson, Bill Kritzer, Mark Westergard) Our goal is to recruit appox 30 swimmers from DAM, with a focus on taking Bobby and Erica as coaches.

TDA Toronto informational packets are ready and out. Let Brad know if you need one mailed to you.

Toronto IGLA 2001 registration forms are available online (www.igla2001.org) or hardcopy from Larry/Brad.

There are 3 registration deadlines: Jan 31, Mar 31, and June 1. The earlier you register....the cheaper it is.

Please "talk it up" with your lane mates and help up get a good turnout for Toronto IGLA 2001.
